Working with Artex

Artex is my local AI assistant, built around Hermes. I use it to explore ideas, organize research, and develop projects while keeping review and judgment in my hands.

The research workflow separates source collection, drafting, evidence review, and approved notes. A generated draft remains a draft until I review it.

What we’re exploring

• Accessibility workflows. Concepts for organizing remediation work and giving faculty useful next steps.
• Accessible learning games. Bounded research questions, source-backed notes, and ideas for practical prototypes.
• A reviewed knowledge library. Researcher, reviewer, and librarian roles that keep source material distinct from generated interpretation.
• More dependable memory. Improving retrieval, preserving source references, and checking how the assistant handles missing or corrected information.

Local operation does not mean every connection is offline, and automated review does not establish that a claim is correct. The useful part is a process I can inspect and revise.
